B is also for baby brother which Alyson hopes to welcome sometime tomorrow if everything goes well. I don’t know if Alyson is more excited about having a baby brother or Free Shirt Fridays!
The slogan on the back of the shirt is “SLASH THE WEB.” Basically, what Blekko allows you to do is not only search by a keyword but narrow it to a certain category by using a slash tag.
So if you wanted to search for the keyword “tips” under the category “blogging” you would type in this.
Of course, HowWhoWhen.com should return as the top result for that search. If not, please contact Blekko support and let them know their search engine is broken.
A couple other neat slash queries you can try are “/domainlinks” and “/seo” which will return all the backlinks to your domain or give you a nice SEO report for your site.
Blekko currently has no advertising but I talked to someone from the company and they did mention it will come soon as they “had to make money too.” Hopefully it will be a self-serve platform.
